Seungkwan of boy band Seventeen communicated with fans in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Friday.

In the broadcast titled “It’s a Beautiful Night,” he said, “I came to you in this sleepless night.”

As he held a cup filled with dark liquid, fans asked him if he was drinking coffee, but he responded that it was puer tea.

The fans then asked him whether he was drinking the tea to lose weight.

“It does taste OK rather than I’m drinking it to lose weight,” he said. “You know if you drink Americano (커피) at night, it can be bad due to the caffeine.”

Then suddenly the singer hesitated and searched to see whether puer tea also has caffeine in it. “It does have caffeine in it! I feel like I was betrayed!”

Seungkwan, disappointed, also shared an anecdote about English breakfast tea.

“There are times when I don’t want to drink coffee when I go to cafe alone at night,” he said. “So I chose to drink English breakfast tea thinking that it wouldn’t have caffeine in it.”

“While drinking it, I wondered why it was called ‘English breakfast’ tea,” he said. “I realized that it was actually for breakfast -- you wake up by drinking it. So it had caffeine as a matter of course.”

“But I drank that at 4 a.m.,” he said.

Actress Kim So-yeon shared her married life with actor Lee Sang-woo in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Friday.

During the broadcast held to promote her new SBS drama “Secret Mother,” she was asked about her public image as a nice person.

“I do get angry sometimes. Only (my husband) Lee Sang-woo will know the truth,” she said. “But we have never fought so far.”

Lee and Kim met while filming 2016 MBC drama “Happy Home” and confirmed they were dating in September that year. The two tied the knot in June last year.

Featuring Kim and Song Yoon-ah, “Secret Mother” tells the story of “Gangnam mothers,” or moms excessively committed to their children's academic achievements.

Kim plays Kim Lisa, a mysterious person overseeing students’ academic endeavors.

The 32-part drama is to air its first episode Saturday at 8:55 p.m.

Singer Kim Dong-han, formerly of the now disbanded boy band JBJ, communicated with fans in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Friday.
In the broadcast, the singer shared his thoughts on his planned solo debut in June.

“It feels very burdensome and it will be difficult to do what six people did together, alone. But I feel encouraged as I have you fans,” he said.

“I hope to see my song ranking in the charts and remaining there steadily,” he said.

The singer appeared on the second season of Mnet’s “Produce 101” last year. He failed to secure a spot in the final 11-member group, but proved popular thanks to the show’s exposure, which led to his debut with JBJ.

JBJ consists of Roh Tae-hyun, Kim Sang-gyun, Kim Yong-guk, Kim Dong-han, Kwon Hyun-bean and Takada, who all appeared on the Mnet show.

The group recently wrapped up its seven-month promotions and disbanded.
