K-pop rookie boy band IZ expressed its thoughts on working with Bang Si-hyuk, the famed music producer and creator of K-pop sensation BTS, during IZ’s showcase event for its second mini album “Angel” live broadcast via Naver’s V app Tuesday.

“Angel,” the lead track of the album, was produced by Bang, once known by the stage name “Hitman Bang” for his feats in the K-pop industry.

“CEO Bang Si-hyuk of Big Hit Entertainment produced the lead track ‘Angel.’ It is a great honor. Electronics and rock mixed well in this song,” Hyunjun said.

About the group’s new album, he said, “Unlike our first album which promoted the image of boyhood, we added more adult-like image. As it is an image of rebels, even we are not used to it when we look in the mirror.”

The last time Bang was involved in a project outside of his company Big Hit Entertainment was for K-pop diva Baek Ji-young for her 2008 hit, “Like Being Hit By A Bullet.”

Boy band IZ consists of vocalist Jihoo, drummer Woosu, guitarist Hyunjun and bassist Junyoung.

It released its debut EP “All You Want” in August last year. Before its official debut, the teen pop rock band built an underground following by holding more than 100 live shows.

The behind-the-scenes footage of the photoshoot for the posters for upcoming tvN drama “Lawless Lawyer” was released via Naver’s V app Tuesday.

In the video, Lee Joon-gi, Seo Ye-ji, Lee Hye-yeong and Choi Min-soo posed for the poster.

“I tried to express pain, sadness and a kind of madness to revenge on the autocracy through my facial expressions,” Lee said about the photoshoot. “I am satisfied that I could show what I wanted to show within one frame as many staff prepared a lot.”

“The photographer and staff are so popular. They make great photos even if I just stand without doing anything,” he added.

“I try to show the confidence. I focused on the eyes, smile and the shoulders which are narrow but sturdy,” Seo said.

“Lawless Lawyer” is set to premiere on May 12.

Girl group GFriend released a dance practice video of “Time for the Moon Night” via Naver’s V app Tuesday.

“Time for the Moon Night” is the lead track off the group’s sixth EP with the same title.

The new album consists of seven songs, including its lead track “Time for the Moon Night,” “Daytime,” “Love Bug,” “Flower Garden,” “Tik Tik,” “Bye” and “You are My Star.”

It marked the group’s first release in seven months since it dropped the repackaged album “Rainbow” in September last year.

Debuting in January 2015 with “Glass Bead,” GFriend has enjoyed both commercial and critical success, releasing hit after hit such as “Me Gustas Tu,” “Rough,” “Love Whisper” and “Summer Rain.”
