Yubin, formerly of K-pop girl group Wonder Girls, said she has been working on her first solo album, during a recent interview for a photo shoot with a local fashion magazine.

“I have a lot of worries about my upcoming album, my first solo release since debut. I think my last year was about studying to find the right color for me,” she said.

The singer also expressed her affection toward her ex-bandmates, who have motivated her into pursuing her solo career.




“When I see my bandmates, some of whom are already promoting alone after the group disbanded, I get motivated. I sometimes feel proud of them, and envy them. But at the same time, I gained confidence,” she said.

The photos taken in Los Angeles emphasized Yubin’s charismatic yet feminine energy. One photo showed the singer walking on a dusty road while clad in a baggy trench coat and a swimsuit styled black dress.

Having debuted in 2007, Wonder Girls disbanded in January last year after releasing its final single “Draw Me” in February the same year.
