Prosecutors have cleared charges against SHINee’s Onew, who was booked without detention last year for alleged sexual harassment of a woman at a club, Onew’s agency S.M. Entertainment said Friday.

Onew, 29, was booked in August 2017 for allegedly touching a woman inappropriately at a club in Gangnam, Seoul.

S.M. Entertainment had defended Onew at the time, saying, “Onew had visited the club to congratulate a friend who was debuting as a DJ. While dancing in his drunken state, Onew unintentionally came into physical contact with the woman.”

Due to the scandal, Onew dropped out of the second season of the JTBC TV drama “Hello, My Twenties!”

In December, Onew apologized through a handwritten letter. He later performed at SHINee’s concert tour in February. Onew is currently in Dubai for “SMTOWN Live World Tour VI in Dubai” concerts.
