Boy band NCT 2018 explained the theme of the group during its “NCT 2018 Empathy” showcase that was live broadcast on Naver’s V app Wednesday.

“(The members of) NCT are from different countries. I hope the fans to love our music from worldwide. In such intention, we named the title of the showcase ‘Empathy,’” Jaemin said.

“Our theme is to dream the same dream and share the same space through the medium of music. The people we share them with are NCitizens,” Jeno said, referring to the group’s fan club.

“We NCT will extend infinitely. We have subunits based on global cities. Please look forward to it,” Kun said.

Dubbed as a “mega project in which fans can see NCT’s identity and charm at once” by management agency S.M. Entertainment, NCT 2018 consists of NCT U, NCT 127 and NCT Dream, as well as three new members Jungwoo, Lucas and Kun.

Actress Son Ye-jin revealed her hope not to be stuck with a “feminine” image in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Wednesday.

“Since I was young, though I knew it is also important to look pretty, I wanted to play various characters,” she said.

“I know many people like my womanly figure. But I didn’t want to be stuck in that,” she said. “I guess I broke that frame when I starred on ‘The Art of Seduction.’ Since then, I could choose my work without hesitation.”

Son recently starred on the fantasy drama film “Be with You,” alongside actor So Ji-sub.

The remake of the 2004 Japanese film of the same title tells the story of a man who finds a woman with no memory and then accepts her as the reincarnation of his dead wife.

So played the role of Woo-jin, a kind father and husband who raises his son alone after the death of his wife. Son played the role of Soo-ah, a woman with amnesia.

Ahn Heong-seop, Lee Eui-woong

Singers Ahn Heong-seop and Lee Eui-woong expressed their thoughts after holding guerilla fan events in Seoul in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Wednesday.

“We had two guerilla events in Hongdae and Gangnam today. I was so surprised as so many people came,” Lee said. “Thank you for coming and even if you couldn’t come we still thank you and love you.”

“I’ve never celebrated White Day before. But as it was my first White Day spending with the fans it was very meaningful,” Ahn said.

While Valentine’s Day is celebrated in Korea by women giving chocolates to men, March 14, or White Day, is celebrated by men giving candies to women as confessions of love or tokens or thanks.

Ahn and Lee starred in the second season of Mnet’s survival audition show “Produce 101,” which brought together 101 male trainees from 54 local entertainment companies to compete for a spot in a new group. The two failed to secure spots in the final 11-member group but they are still enjoying high popularity thanks to the show.

In November last year, the duo dropped their first pre-debut single “The Moment of Memory.”

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit http://www.vlive.tv.
