K-pop girl group EXID is gearing up for a comeback in April, but without Solji, according to the group’s agency Banana Culture Tuesday.

The agency said EXID plans to release a single album sometime in April, while Solji, who has been recovering from surgery after being diagnosed with hyperthyroidism in December 2016, won’t participate.

Ever since Solji has been on a break for treatment, EXID has been promoting as a four-piece band since March last year. Though she was absent for the group’s “Full Moon” album promotion last year, Solji participated in the album by recording the songs. She then underwent surgery for exophthalmos, a symptom which can occur among hyperthyroidism patients, thereby halting all activities again.

“Solji is still recovering, and decided not to join group activities as she still needs time as swelling hasn’t gone down yet. But she is better now. We expect her to join the members in the group’s next promotion following the one in April,” an agency official said.

EXID’s upcoming album is the act’s first release since its single “DDD” in November last year.
