Jung Chae-yeon of K-pop girl group DIA has a hang-up about her chin.

“People these days call my slightly squared chin as that of a royal, but in fact, it was my real hang-up. I used to consider receiving plastic surgery before the debut. I still care a lot about the angle when on camera,” she said in an interview with a local fashion magazine.




Asked if she has ever been on an extreme diet plan, Jung said she used to resort to food made of beans such as soy bean milk and tofu and salads without dressing.

“When I had to check my weight, I used to have the powder of Job‘s Tears Tea only, without even dissolving it in water. But I don’t do it anymore as it made me unhealthy,” she added.

Jung originally debuted as a member of now-defunct project girl group I.O.I from Mnet’s music survival show “Produce 101.” Having debuted as a member of DIA in September 2015, Jung has also expanded her career into acting, starring in KBS’ weekend drama “Marry Me Now” and her first film “Live Again, Love Again” in February.
