Lee Ho-won -- better known by his former stage name Hoya of boy band Infinite -- communicated with fans in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Saturday.

“How have you been?” the singer asked his fans at the beginning of the broadcast. “I’ve been very busy recently.”

During the short broadcast, the singer repeatedly said that he has a lot to do and thus he is too busy even to sleep.

The singer is working on his solo debut album, which he plans to release between now and the end of March. He will pre-release a track from the album, “Angel,” on Wednesday.

During the broadcast, he was asked why he was wearing a mask.

“I grew my beard and dyed it. It’s the concept of the upcoming album,” he said. “You may be surprised (by the beard). I grew my beard like a bandit, decolorized it and made it little curly.”

“I guess I may be the first one to do so,” he said. “I dyed it orange -- like the beard of Gimli from ‘The Lord of the Rings.’”

Lee debuted as a member of Infinite, but he left the group in August last year as he did not renew his contract with the agency Woolim Entertainment, which expired in June.

He has since been focusing on his acting career and musical activities, featuring in MBC’s “Two Cops” and the musical “Hourglass” last year.

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit http://www.vlive.tv.
