NCT to hold full-group showcase on March 14

Global K-pop act NCT will hold a full-group showcase on March 14, according to its agency S.M. Entertainment Wednesday.

The upcoming grand-scale showcase titled “NCT 2018 Empath,” which will be held at Korea University’s Hwajung Gymnasium, will feature all 18 members from its subunit NCT U, NCT 127 and NCT Dream.

NCT will unveil its new album “NCT 2018 Empathy,” which will include music from each unit, at the showcase, and also perform previously released songs like NCT U’s “Boss” and “Don’t Stop” and NCT Dream’s “Go.” The event will also see a stage joined by all 18 members.

Coined by the S.M. founder Lee Soo-man, NCT stands for Neo Cultural Technology, a band that has a concept of having an unlimited number of members divided into multiple sub-units based in various cities around the world.

The group’s first unit NCT U made its debut in April 2016, while the second and third units NCT 127, based in Seoul, and NCT Dream, consisted of teenagers, debuted in July and August in 2016, respectively.

The showcase, which will start at 8 p.m., will be broadcast live via Naver V Live.
