Actress Kim Hyang-gi asked her fans to display the national flag to commemorate the March 1 Independence Movement Day in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Wednesday.

“I hope you put up Taegeukgi (Korean national flag) on March 1 Independence Movement Day,” she said.

“I’m keeping an old Taegeukgi clean at home,” she said. “I think it’s awesome when I see Taegeukgi hoisted on many houses. It is a great thing that people join (the commemoration) with one mind on the day.”

Kim recently appeared on fantasy drama film “Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds” alongside actors Ha Jung-woo, Ju Ji-hoon and Cha Tae-hyun.

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit http://www.vlive.tv.
