Boy band Seventeen celebrated various events with fans in a series of live broadcasts via Naver’s V app Sunday.

The birthdays of DK and Vernon fell on the day while it was also the 1,000th day since the group’s debut showcase on May 26, 2015. Also on Sunday, Mingyu made his debut as a host of SBS’ music show “Inkigayo.”

In a live broadcast held by all 13 Seventeen bandmates, they celebrated all the events holding the balloons, with the shapes indicating 1,0,0,0, and blowing out the candles on a cake.

They also sang the “Happy Birthday” song while changing the lyrics to “Happy birthday dear Seventeen, DK, Vernon.”

“I’m glad that the birthday of me and Vernon is the same day as our 1,000th day anniversary and I feel happy to perform and have a great time with Carats (Seventeen’s fan club name) on this meaningful day,” DK said.

DK and Vernon also held a separate broadcast in which they read congratulatory messages from fans over the world.

Singer Jeong Se-woon released some behind-the-scenes footage of his first week of promotion for his album “After” on Naver’s V app Sunday.

“Thank you so much from the early morning,” he said to fans who came to support him after finishing a pre-recorded performance for the music show.

“I asked (the fans) when they came here and they said they’ve been here since 4 a.m.,” he said.

When told that there was a fan who would go to work after supporting him on the show, he said, “If I were them, I couldn’t do that. This is love which doesn’t make sense. Thinking of that, I don’t even need to sleep.”

“I will give you more energy so that you can go to work more pleasantly,” he added.

Jeong recently released the second part of his first EP “After” with the lead track “Baby It’s U.”

Signed under Starship Entertainment, Jeong appeared on the second season of Mnet K-pop competition “Produce 101.” He finished the show at No. 12, just failing to secure a spot in the final 11-member group.

Jeong debuted as a solo artist in August last year with his first EP, “Ever.” In November, the singer won the Rising Star Award at the Asia Artist Awards.

Under the project, NCT U plans to roll out additional content including five other music videos.

NCT U will perform “Boss” for the first time on Mnet’s live music show “M Countdown” on Thursday.
