Dino of boy band Seventeen thanked fans for supporting its latest track “Thanks” after winning on KBS’ weekly music show “Music Bank” in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Saturday.

The music show airs every Friday but this week’s show was canceled due to the live broadcast of 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics.

The show instead announced this week’s winner on its official website and Seventeen’s “Thanks” topped this week’s charts. The group delivered the acceptance speech through its agency Pledis Entertainment.

In Saturday’s broadcast, Dino revealed that it was him who wrote the text for the acceptance speech representing the whole group.

As the original text was summarized in the press release, the singer delivered the full text in person.

“Thank you for giving us this honorable award on Lunar New Year’s Day. First we want to thank our CEO Hang Seong-soo and vice president Kim Yeon-soo who always support us. Also I’d like to thank all the staff at Pledis,” he said.

“Then I’d like to thank our parents for raising us and trusting us. Please stay healthy and be with us for long. To our members, I want to say ‘You did a great job. Let’s not forget this moment, stay together forever and do our best.’”

“And the reason of our existence, Carats! Thank you so much and I love you. Our lovely Carats, we thank you so much that we even feel sorry that we always receive from you. But all Seventeen think about is Carats. We will return your favor with better music and performances. Love you once again.”

Dino wrapped up the speech by saying “I wish you a happy new year.”
