Solo artist Hyolyn, a former member of Sistar, unveiled candid pictures from her photo shoot with fashion magazine High Cut on Thursday.

The recent photo shoot had special meaning for Hyolyn: It was the first time the solo artist revealed her own studio to the public, after establishing the label Brid3 in November last year.

Hyolyn was photographed wearing black glittery shorts and a green T-shirt with the words “Curious Woman.” She appeared natural, yet sexy at the same time.

In a different photo, the singer wore a yellow striped T-shirt and boyfriend jeans, highlighting a different side of her.

When asked about her reasons for disregarding lucrative offers from big entertainment agencies, Hyolyn explained that she was starting to have doubts about her identity as “Hyolyn” or “Kim Hyo-jung.”

“After pouring all my energy, effort and time into Sistar for seven years, I was faced with the dilemma of continuing to live the life of ‘Sistar’ or ‘Hyolyn,’” she said.

Fans may take a closer look at pictures from the photo shoot and the interview in High Cut’s 215 issue. She will also be releasing her first digital single “To Do List” on Feb. 6.
