Red Velvet’s Joy, Woo Do-hwan to star in new drama ‘Great Temptation‘
Joy of Red Velvet and actor Woo Do-hwan have been confirmed as lead roles of MBC’s new drama “Great Temptation,” according to the drama creators Thursday.
The upcoming romance drama, which is based on the French novel “Les Liaisons dangereuses,” depicts a perilous but beautiful love game of the youth, where Joy and Woo will play an onscreen couple that gradually fall in love with each other in unexpected circumstances.
Joy will play Eun Tae-hee, a defensive 20-year-old who considers being befuddled in love as the most meaningless thing in the world. However, Eun’s life is soon filled with confusion upon meeting
Kwon Si-hyun, also a 20-year-old played by Woo, who tries to seduce Eun in cunning ways.
Joy, who debuted as a member of Red Velvet in 2014, kick-started her acting career with tvN’s music drama “The Liar and His Lover” in March this year. Woo, who recently earned the nickname “super rookie” for his polished acting, is best known for his roles in OCN’s “Save Me” and KBS’ “Mad Dog.”
The drama is scheduled to air in the first half of next year.
