As a “SBS Daesang couple,” Lee and Shin hold close ties to the SBS awards ceremony. Lee won the 2013 Drama Grand Prize, or “Daesang,” for her acting in “I Can Hear Your Voice,” while Shin won the 2016 SAF Entertainment Grand Prize for his part in “Mom’s Diary - My Ugly Duckling.”

Both have been picked to be strong candidates for winning this year‘s Grand Prize with Lee acting in the drama series “Whisper” and Shin performing in “Mom’s Diary - My Ugly Duckling.”

The comedian has taken on the MC role for multiple programs, but it is his first time being the host for SBS Drama Awards since his debut in 1991.
