Sujeong of K-pop girl group Lovelyz revealed a fun birthday episode in a V broadcast Sunday.

Sujeong turned up in front of the camera wearing a birthday hat, with a big smile on her face. While looking like a happy birthday girl, she said she was ridden with guilt only moments ago, as she was pranked into believing that she was doing something wrong.

“Looking back, everyone was such a good actor in this grand plan to prank me,” Sujeong explained. She described how the staff members and bandmates lashed out at her after the first performance, finding fault with random things she had done. “Even Jisoo started blaming me for something that’s not even serious, and I thought like, she’s usually not like this,” she said.

“Depressed and crestfallen, I went into the corner to be on my own, and suddenly everyone started singing Happy Birthday to me. I could not help but burst into tears,” she reminisced, now with a smiling face. “I cried like a baby, and you know what? All our bandmates were filming me crying!” she said, adding that she should have looked ugly in those photos.

She then answered birthday messages from viewers coming in via V live comments. She wrapped up the broadcast by expressing gratitude for all the birthday wishes.
