British celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay will appear on JTBC’s cooking variety show “Please Take Care of My Refrigerator,” the producer of the show said Wednesday.

The JTBC program features the nation’s most popular chefs vying for victory in a contest that involves preparing food with ingredients found in celebrity guests’ refrigerators in just 15 minutes.

Ramsay, who is popular for his vitriol on shows such as “Kitchen Nightmares” and “MasterChef,” will now put himself in participants’ shoes and compete alongside Korean chefs to satisfy guests.

“It is not an easy thing to compete in the 15-minute cooking contest for top chefs but Gordon Ramsay was interested in the format of ‘Please Take Care of My Refrigerator’ and decided to be on the show without hesitation,” said Lee Chang-woo, the producer of the JTBC show.

On the episode featuring Ramsay, professional baseball pitcher Oh Seung-hwan and former baseball designated hitter Hong Sung-heon will appear as celebrity guests.

The episode will be recorded Saturday.
