Kang Daniel, the frontman of K-pop rookie Wanna One, said he feels happy and alive with his packed schedule during a recent interview with GQ Korea, after completing a photo shoot with the magazine.

“My work really comes natural to me. I feel alive when I’m busy. I heard that people worry about me for having an extremely packed schedule, but I am happy, because I’m doing something I’ve always wanted,” Kang said.

The November issue of the magazine features Kang clad in casual outfits, as well as photos of his Wanna One bandmates and their individual interviews.

“My mom used to say ‘Today was a tough day’ with a sigh when she returned home from work. For me, saying it was a tiring day is kind of an evaluation of that day. I think exhaustion and unhappiness are different,” he added, emphasizing that he feels happy despite his busy life that doesn‘t allow him more than two hours of sleep a night.
