K-pop duo TVXQ became unparalleled in Japan’s Oricon music chart history as the group’s six albums topped the weekly chart, being the first foreign group to do so, TVXQ’s agency announced Tuesday.

S.M. Entertainment confirmed on Tuesday that TVXQ’s “Fine Collection Begin Again ” album -- released Oct. 25 -- has been ranked No. 1 on both the Oricon daily and weekly chart.

As one of K-pop’s leading boy bands, TVXQ has many past No. 1 recognitions under their belt, having topped the Oricon Charts with “Best Selection 2010,” “Tone” in 2011, “Time” in 2013, “Tree” and “With” in 2014.

Following the latest achievement, TVXQ has surpassed previous chart records held by American duo Simon & Garfunkel and rock band Bon Jovi.

The singers have been absent from the music scene for two years while serving their mandatory military duties, but returned earlier this year. Oricon insiders expressed their anticipation for TVXQ’s success.

TVXQ will go on a concert tour of five Japanese cities -- Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, Nagoya and Hokkaido -- starting Nov. 11.
