Yoo Ah-in’s Instagram post expressing his sorrow over the death of fellow actor Kim Joo-hyuk has caused a hailstorm of controversy.

Yoo posted on his Instagram account a screenshot of a music player playing Benjamin Clementine’s “Condolence.”

“Condolence is ours; RIP,” he wrote.

The post, however, raised an outcry over whether it was a proper way to remember the late actor.

Some considered his post frivolous with @do_whatilike offering, “The darker side of social media…. He will now post a selfie from the funeral with hashtag #RIP”

“The sad news of late actor Kim Joo-hyuk is not for your Instafeed. I am very disappointed at your mourning without sincerity,” @jellyeeunn wrote.

Others backed up Yoo with @verybebecom posting, “Does it deserve this harsh criticism to express his sorrow with a suitable song because he was too sad to express his sorrow with a few words?”

“Why is it an abnormal way of expressing sorrow? Don’t you dare to determine how people should express their sorrow,” @happy_meel wrote.

As the controversy unfolded, Yoo again posted a picture on the social media which reads, “Social Network: a system which connects separated us and keep us united. Let’s use it right.”

“Let’s feel each other with love rather than hatred; with trust rather than doubts; and with truth rather than lies. So that we can understand, recognize, accept and love each other,” he wrote.

Kim, 45, died at around 6:30 p.m. Monday following a car crash in Samseong-dong, Seoul. Kim and Yoo starred together on the 2016 romantic comedy film “Like for Likes.”
