[V Report Plus] Taemin's dedicated efforts to become as good a singer as a dancer
Boyband member-turned-solo artist Taemin looked back at his growth over his 9-year career in the K-pop scene.
In an interview with Sellev channel on Naver’s V app Sunday, Taemin revealed the excruciating efforts he made over the past years to become a good vocalist.

He opened up the interview with an anecdote about his rookie years. “When I first debuted as a member of SHINee, I was not given a single line to sing in the band’s inaugural single 'Replay.' I just danced on stage,” he said.

With his efforts gradually paying off, Taemin started singing more lines in the band’s songs. In 2014, six years after his initial debut in SHINee, Taemin released his first solo album, filled with six songs entirely sung by himself.

“You know, I really get out of breath after dancing while also singing live. But I just repeatedly tell myself that I can do it. Try to be in the moment, and that led me here.” Taemin said.
