The chance of K-pop phenomenon BTS being nominated for the Grammy Award this year has been put on the table by Billboard.

On Friday, Billboard shared a video of music experts, including Billboard’s Kevan Kenney, Vibe’s Shenequa Golding and music journalist John Norris, discussing the possible nominees for the Grammys that will take place in New York City in January.

BTS was one of the global artists mentioned by the panels, the only K-pop act that popped up during the discussion. Labeling the group a “K-pop super star,” the experts explained that BTS has a high chance of being nominated for the Grammy’s Best New Artist Award category, as the act has established its public identity in the US already with its previous releases.

BTS won the top social artist award at the Billboard Music Award earlier this year, and its latest EP “Love Yourself Seung Her“ and its lead track “DNA” set records by debuting at No. 25 on Billboard’s 200 and No.67 on Hot 100 chart.

The official website of the Grammy Awards, on Oct. 3, featured an article on BTS, shedding light on the group’s achievements and its global potential.
