Money, fame, adoration by millions of fans worldwide. Being a pop star is a dream for many, but it does have its downside, says EXO.

Appearing on the SBS show “Party People“ on Saturday, the K-pop superstars talked about what it was like to be idol singers.

The members said that they sometimes feel everything is futile.

”It‘s not easy being a 20-something who can’t even walk around freely...A lot of times I wanted to give up because it was so difficult, but I just think about how happy it is for us to be (members of) EXO,“ said D.O., during a talk show hosted by JYP Entertainment producer Park Jin-young.

Suho said that he travels a lot because he wants to be free.

But the members also voiced their appreciation for being members of a beloved group.

”I‘m thankful that I’m loved by so many people, and that they think about me. That fact fuels me to keep going in difficult times," said Chanyeol.
