“Reply 1988” actor Ryu Jun-yeol turned 31 on Sept. 25. He belatedly shared the video of his birthday party with fans a week later on Sunday.

The video showing Ryu, dressed in a lemon-yellow sweater, cook ramen on stage and hug a giant three-tiered birthday cake.

Talking to the fans, Ryu said, “I used to pray every morning and night for my family. Now I pray for you all too.”

“Because you all pray for me. Just as you wish me happiness and success, I wish you would ‘walk the flower road’ too,” said Ryu.

“Walking the flower road” is a popular Korea phrase describing a life without hardships.

“We will meet again soon, I look forward to the day. Thank you. I love you,” Ryu said, wrapping up the video for the V app viewers.
