English actor Colin Firth expressed his joy at visiting Korea for the first time.

“I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Korean food. Actually, with Korean cinema, I’ve been fascinated with the country for a long time,” Firth told reporters at a press conference at Seoul’s Yongsan CGV Thursday.

Firth, Taron Egerton and Mark Strong are in Korea to promote the upcoming film “Kingsman 2: The Golden Circle,” set to hit local theaters on Sept. 27.

“Above all I was overwhelmed by the reaction from this country toward the first film,” he said, referring to the 2014 “Kingsman: The Secret Service,” a massive box office hit here.

“I got so much feedback, people sent me things. I was extremely moved by that and I wanted to come here basically just to express gratitude. And it has been infinitely rewarding. It’s left me even more grateful than before, so there will have to be another visit,” he said.
