Actor Nam Joo-hyuk visited Bangkok as part of his first international tour.

According to his agency YG Entertainment, some 2,000 fans gathered at MCC Hall in Bangkok to meet the star.

The meet and greet marked the actor’s first visit to the city in a year. “Hello, it’s been a year! I missed you,” Nam said in Thai.

He shared stories about his childhood and the history of his career. He had started out as a basketball player, before moving on to modeling and then to acting.

During the event, the actor also recreated scenes from his recent drama “The Bride of Habaek,” in which he played a charismatic water god. He also made gimbap (seaweed rice rolls) for his fans.

The fans surprised the actor by raising the signs that read, “It's been 365 days, thank you for returning.”

Touched by the surprise, the actor shed tears. Asked whether he would come back next year, he said, “I will be glad to!”

“As you love me this much, I think I should try to show you a better self. Thank you so much and I love you,” he said, wrapping up the event.

Nam will head to Manila on Saturday.
