Actor Lee Joon wrapped up a fan meeting in Mexico safe and sound, despite a deadly earthquake that struck the country Thursday, according to Lee’s label Prain TPC.

The agency said Saturday that Lee’s fan meeting was held in Mexico City on Friday evening without any safety issues. There had been concerns due to a strong tremor a day before the event. Several changes were made to the program to ensure people’s safety at the event.

The magnitude 8.1 earthquake that struck Mexico shortly before midnight on Thursday resulted in a high number of casualties and damages. At the time of the earthquake, which was the most powerful to hit the country in a century, Lee was also reported to have evacuated from the hotel where he had been staying, and later updated fans about his safety via Instagram.

Lee is set to enlist in the Army on Oct. 24 after holding a fan meeting in Japan on Sept. 23 and in Seoul on Sept. 30.
