Roh Tae-hyun of K-pop boy band Hotshot said in an interview with a local magazine that his return to the group feels like as if he came out from plastic surgery.

Roh and his bandmate Ha Sung-woon recently participated in Mnet’s survival audition program “Produce 101 Season 2.” Roh failed to secure a spot in the final 11-member group but his group Hotshot regained public attention.

“I feel like as if I came out from plastic surgery. That much I feel like I became a totally different person so I think I need to do way better. As I’m in armor, I want to fly around the battlefield,” Roh said.

In July, the originally six-member group released its latest single “Jelly” as five-member group as Ha had to leave the group due to his activities as a member of Wanna One, a project group formed by Mnet’s show.

About Ha’s inevitable absence, Roh said, “Ha Sung-woon was the brightest character in the band. If he had participated in ‘Jelly’ which is a dark song, he would have felt awkward as the song doesn’t fit his personality.”
