The legendary Korean pop culture icon Seo Tai-ji revealed a practice session for his upcoming concert via Naver’s V app Monday.

Seo will celebrate the 25th anniversary since debut through a large-scale concert, which is slated for Sept. 2.

Seo revealed his practice routine for the concert, saying, “I used to practice 12 hours a day, but now that I’ve grown old, I can only manage eight hours.”

Seo introduced his fellow musicians who are going through the intense practice sessions with him.

The musicians took turns to play snippets from the songs shortlisted for the concert.

Seo could be seen taking extra care not to reveal too much detail about the upcoming songs.

When a keyboardist played the intro of a song, Seo stopped him short after three seconds, saying, “There are secret songs that we’ve been preparing for the concert.”

In commemoration of Seo’s debut as the leader of Seo Tai-ji and the Boys in 1992, his earliest hit numbers will be performed at the concert exactly as they were performed in the 1990s.

The boy band led the first hip hop boom in the Korean music scene, and experimented with various genres throughout their short-lived career before disbanding in 1996.

Seo has been continuing the musical experiment through his solo career ever since.

At the concert, Seo will play from his extensive repertoire spanning over various genres and styles.

“I’ve been waiting to see you at the concert. Get yourself ready for it,” Seo said to wrap up the broadcast.
