Seolhyun of AOA said the most memorable moment from the filming of “A Murderer’s Guide to Memorization” was when the staff threw her a surprise birthday party, in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Tuesday.

Seolhyun, Kim Nam-gil and Sol Kyung-gu, the lead actors in the upcoming crime action flick, revealed anecdotes from their time on set.

“The movie was filmed during the fall and winter. The most memorable moment was the birthday party the staff gave,” she said. She was born on Jan. 3, 1995. “Though I lived only for 23 years, it was a very happy moment. I was really surprised. I was touched and felt grateful.”

“We turned off the lights after the filming pretending it was a blackout. So Seolhyun was very surprised. Then the cake appeared. Seolhyun said she was very happy,” Sol explained.

The film, based on the 2013 novel of the same name by Kim Young-ha, tells the story of a former serial killer who now suffers from Alzheimer’s disease struggling to catch another serial killer who attempts to kill his daughter.

Veteran actor Sol plays former serial killer Byeong-soo, while Seolhyun plays his daughter Eun-hee. Kim plays Tae-joo, who approaches Eun-hee to kill her.
