Wanna One ‘Energetic’ on music charts

The project boy band Wanna One is sweeping the music charts at home and overseas with its debut EP “To Be One.”

Since its release, “Energetic,” the lead track, quickly cruised to the top on seven local music charts including Melon, Genie, Olleh Music, Naver Music, Bugs, Mnet and Soribada.

“Burn It Up,” which was pre-released alongside “Energetic” through an event in which fans got to decide the album‘s lead track, and other tracks from the album, including “Wanna Be” and “Always” also secured their spots within the Top 10.

The album went strong also on foreign music charts, topping the iTunes Top Albums Chart in 11 countries including Chile, Finland and Hong Kong.

Wanna One consists of Kang Daniel, Park Ji-hoon, Lee Dae-hwi, Kim Jae-hwan, Ong Sung-woo, Park Woo-jin, Lai Guan Lin, Yoon Ji-sung, Hwang Min-hyun, Bae Jin-young and Ha Sung-woon.

The group was formed through the second season of Mnet’s survival audition show “Produce 101.” Viewers, dubbed “national producers,” voted for their favorite trainees from among 101 contestants.
