Actor Song Joong-ki will appear on the program “Newsroom” on Thursday, JBTC announced on social media.

“The actor who returned to the big screen with ‘The Battleship Island,’ the film which has been the talk of the town since the beginning of the year. We’ll meet Song Joong-ki on ‘Newsroom’ at 8 p.m. today,” JTBC wrote.

Song will talk about his life as an actor and promote his latest film, “The Battleship Island.”

As the actor recently made a surprise wedding announcement, fans are expecting him to share about his upcoming marriage to actress Song Hye-kyo.

Since its launch in September 2014 with anchorman Sohn Seok-hee, “Newsroom” has featured interviews with entertainment figures and celebrities, such as director Bong Joon-ho, singer Psy, webtoon artist Kang Full and professional Go player Lee Sedol.

“The Battleship Island” drew 970,516 moviegoers here on the day of its release, according to the Korean Film Council.
