Taeyang of Big Bang will star on MBC’s variety show “I Live Alone,” the show’s production team announced Wednesday.

“I Live Alone” displays the lives of celebrities who live alone. Taeyang will appear on the “Rainbow Live” part of the show, where guest celebrities open up.

It is rare to see a member of Big Bang appear on a variety show. The K-pop sensation previously met fans only through their musical performances. For Taeyang especially, it is the first time for him to reveal his personal space to the public.

According to the show’s production team, they are still adjusting the filming schedule and the broadcast date of Taeyang’s episode will be settled later, according to the filming schedule.

Taeyang is currently preparing for a new solo release.
