K-pop rookie K.A.R.D to promote Seoul

K-pop mixed gender rookie group K.A.R.D is set to promote Seoul internationally, according to the group’s label DSP Media.

The label announced Monday that the Seoul Metropolitan Government has named K.A.R.D the city‘s global ambassadors to promote Seoul and the city’s brand slogan and identity “I.SEOUL.U” around the globe for about a year. The appointment ceremony took place Monday morning.

“We are very glad to have K.A.R.D, a rising K-pop group, follow in the line of Korean stars who have promoted Seoul to the world, such as Rain, Lee Byung-hun and Super Junior,” a Seoul Metropolitan
Government official said.

“K.A.R.D has already established worldwide recognition. We hope the group will gain ground in Korea and promote the city as well,” the official added.

K.A.R.D will shoot a promotional video for an upcoming Korea Culture Day event to be held in Sao Paulo in August to celebrate the 40th anniversary of sister city ties between Seoul and the Brazilian city.
K.A.R.D will also attend promotional events and shoot videos organized by the city.

K.A.R.D is a rookie group that officially released its first EP, “Hola Hola,” on Wednesday.
