K-pop girl group Black Pink will grace the cover of the August issue of a local fashion magazine.

The issue will mark the first time Elle Korea has put a K-pop group on its cover.

Bearing the words “The New Woman” in pink, the image shows Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa and Rose in black and white.

Upon the group’s first anniversary, the band expressed their thoughts in an interview following the photoshoot. They pledged to show more to their fans and try different things.

The group debuted in August last year with its infectious album “Square One,” featuring “Whistle” and “Playing with Fire” as the double lead tracks. The two tracks swept local and overseas charts including the Billboard World Digital Songs chart.

Black Pink’s latest digital single, “As If It‘s Your Last,” was released in June and also topped Billboard‘s World Digital Songs chart.
