Kim Jae-joong of JYJ said he is close to Japanese singer and actor Tomohisa Yamashita in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Wednesday.

When asked if he had any friends in Johnnies, he said, “I have some friends in Johnnies. I am close to Tomohisa Yamashita who is also known as Yamapi.”

Johnnies are groups of male entertainers from Japanese talent agency Johnny & Association. They are mostly known for being good-looking and, because of this, the word is often used to refer to good-looking males.

Kim said he personally calls him Tomo. “He’s really nice. We are still very close to each other. I talk to him very often,” he said.

He also teased the fans saying, “I also have other friends but I will not tell you because you are curious about it.”
