Super Junior’s Eunhyuk was discharged from mandatory military service Wednesday.

Some 500 fans from Korea and abroad waited in front of his stationed post in Wonju, Gangwon Province, to catch a glimpse of the K-pop star’s return to civilian life.

Eunhyuk saluted the crowd that was awaiting him. “It is definitely bittersweet. I’m nervous because it’s the first I’ve been in front of the camera in such a long time,” he said.

Fellow Super Junior members Donghae, Leeteuk, Shindong and Yesung were present at Eunhyuk’s discharge ceremony. Siwon, Kyuhyun and Ryeowook from the boy band are still serving their military service.

“I hope they will be able to finish their time in good health,” said Eunhyuk.

Donghae is also set to be discharged on June 23, after which he and Eunhyuk will host a fan meeting.

In October, Super Junior members, with the exception of Kangin, Sungmin, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun, will team up for a comeback.
