K-pop idol group BTS and the music from the TV drama “Guardian” swept the charts in the first half of 2017.

Local wire service Yonhap News Agency said Tuesday that BTS’ “You Never Walk Alone” sold nearly 730,000 CDs and became the best-selling album, while the main track to “Guardian,” “I will go to you like the first snow,” was the most sold digital track, between January and June, this year.

For the album sales, following behind BTS were GOT7’s “Flight Log: Arrival” with 331,000 in CD sales and Seventeen’s “Al1” with over 297,000 CDs.

Twice, the only female group to enter the top 10, bagged both fourth and fifth place with “TWICEcoaster:LANE 2” and “Signal,” which recorded sales of over 279,000 and 263,000, respectively.

Big Bang‘s “MADE” album came in sixth which was followed by SNSD’s Taeyeon‘s “My Voice,” Monsta X’s “The Clan Pt. 2.5 - Beautiful,” Highlight’s “Can You Feel It?” and NCT127’s “NCT #127 Limitless.”

As for the digital top 10 list, songs from “Guardian” took four spots.

Apart from the top song “I will go to you like the first snow” by Ailee, Crush‘s “Beautiufl” came in fifth, Chanyeol and Punch’s duet “Stay With Me” came in sixth and Soyou‘s “I Miss You” came in ninth.

The second place went to AKMU’s “Last Goodbye” and the third place went to Twice‘s “Knock Knock.”

Red Velvet‘s “Rookie” took the seventh place and IU’s “Through the Night” landed in eighth with Big Bang‘s “FXXK IT” coming in at No. 10.

The tallied rankings were the accumulated result of six months. Yonhap hinted an interesting change could come if another research is done around the end of the year.
