K-pop hit maker Red Velvet is all geared up to drop a new album in July, according to its label S.M. Entertainment.

“The group will return to the K-pop scene in mid-July. Members have finished filming music videos and are in the final stage of preparing their new release,” an agency official said.

Red Velvet’s upcoming album marks the group’s first release since its infectious EP “Rookie” in February.

The official added that the group’s new songs will feature a bright and cheerful tune that fits summer vibe.

The five-member girl band debuted in 2014 with its first digital single “Happiness.” The group’s first EP “Ice Cream Cake” released in March 2015 topped the Gaon Album Chart. Its first full-length album

“The Red” also debuted No.1 at both Gaon Album Chart and the Billboard World Albums Chart in September 2015.
