Actor Kim Soo-hyun shared about his professional bowling tryout in a recent interview with a local media outlet.

Kim, a big fan of bowling, participated in an annual professional bowling tryout in October 2016 and made it to the second round of preliminaries. He also showed his bowling skills in a recent appearance on MBC’s popular variety show “Infinite Challenge.”

“I have a tendency to get absorbed intensively when I get into something. It was bowling last year,” Kim said. “I just liked playing bowling and then I started to wonder what would be the limit of this fun. That made me visit bowling alley more often and end up in the tryout.”

However, professional bowling qualifications were not his goal, he said.

“I would not have tried if I had worried about ‘what if I fail’ or ‘what if I become a pro-bowler,’” he said. “I practiced really hard and experienced the tryout. That’s enough. I think I could do better but I don’t regret participating in the tryout.”

Kim stars in the action-noir film “Real,” which will be released June 28.
