South Korean film “Our President” has gained traction in the US among Korean-Americans, according to the local reports.

The documentary movie depicted the dramatic life story of the late President Roh Moo-hyun. The film has achieved a notable box office record since its release on April 29, drawing an audience of 1.5 million in Korea so far.

To meet the demand of the overseas Koreans, CJ CGV made the film available in one of its US branches, Buena Park CGV, from June 2. The cinema chain plans to expand the screens into other cities including Los Angeles, Dallas and San Francisco.

Korean-Australian group “People who Miss Roh Moo-hyun” will hold a movie screening on July 22 and 23 at the Opera Quays Theater in Sydney, while Roh supporters in other countries such as New Zealand and the UK also organized the screening events.
