The first segment of a behind-the-scenes series for IU’s latest album “Palette” was aired via Naver’s V app on Monday.

The video, released under the name ‘IU TV,’ showed the day IU shot pre-recordings for the album’s showcase on April 21.

“It’s been a while since I last recorded something so late in the night, or so early in the morning,” said IU.

“I have no energy left...what if I say something that I shouldn’t? Because my guard is down right now because I‘m tired... I’m repeating myself, aren’t I?” IU said to the camera.

“The hours are so off from the normal schedule that I thought the fans would need some nourishment.”

For the fans who came to watch the pre-recording, IU called a food truck that served steaming hot ddeokbokki, or spicy red rice cakes.

IU stepped outside the broadcasting station for a bit to greet the fans and thank them for supporting her.

Lovelyz’s JIN’s 21st birthday celebration video was broadcast through the V app on Monday.

To make things interesting, JIN decided to decorate her own cake with icing during the live broadcast.

“‘Do whatever you want,’ is my favorite phrase, ever,” said JIN as she carefully squeezed icing on to the cake.

When she needed help, the rest of the 8-member group joined the broadcast and helped JIN make the cake. They sang the birthday song for her and devoured the cake together.

JIN thanked the fans who were virtually together with the group via the V app.

“Thank you for watching this broadcast, everyone, thank you for your heartfelt congratulations,“ JIN said.

Block B’s Taeil held a mukbang on V app, in which he marked the release of his solo-album ”Loves me or not,” on Monday.

A mukbang is a show in which the show’s host eats live in front of the camera.

“This is my new solo-album in two years,” Taeil said to fans watching, “Are you all listening to ‘Loves me or not’?”

“If you have, then listen to it another time. Listen to it three times!” Taeil joked.

Jaehyo and Park Kyung joined him in the broadcast.

“I finally started drinking coffee,” Jaehyo said while chatting to fans.

In contrast to Jaehyo, Park Kyung drew a line, “I‘m not going to talk much in this broadcast. I’m going to sit back and let Taeil speak, since he’s the reason we’re broadcasting.”

“I’m really proud of this new album,” Taeil said. “I’m happy that it turned out so nicely.”

Gugudan’s Sejeong features on Taeil’s album.
