K-pop superstar Psy said he felt too much pressure after his song “Gangnam Style” took the world by storm.

Psy on Saturday made an appearance on JTBC’s “Knowing Bros,” sharing the hard times he had. “The toughest moment during my singing career was the time when ‘Gangnam Style’ had gone viral all over the world,” Psy said.

“I didn’t expect the song would succeed. People started to anticipate the next mega-hit song to come and it made me feel scared.”

When asked “What was it like to be a superstar?” Psy compared the disoriented state to the emotion he would feel descending from a mountain’s peak without a parachute.

The K-pop singer said he still wonders why the song recorded such huge success. “I once thought ‘Why can’t the other songs gain popularity like Gangnam Style?’” Psy said. “Now I have controlled myself to not mind success or failure in the future.”
