In the video released Wednesday via Naver’s V app, the singer, who recently got appointed as the honorary ambassador of Gongju, was seen looking around the historic city, where he was born and raised.

“I will show you around the places I consider very special,” said the singer in a local restaurant, enjoying local food.

He was then seen visiting the elementary school he had attended.

He said that it was surprising to see how small the school actually was.

“They have no idea that I am also from this school,” said Jaejoong, smiling at a group of students surrounding him.

The video also showed the singer at a signing ceremony where he addressed gratitude for being appointed the city’s ambassador.

“It is a great honor to promote my hometown, and I will do my best as the ambassador,” Jaejoong said.
