Gary on Tuesday denied he had canceled his first concert in Malaysia due to unexpected issues.

“Gary was set to hold his concert on May 21 but we had to cancel it,” Gary’s agency Yangban’s Nations said. “The cancellation was not upon unexpected issues, but because the host company in Malaysia broke the contract.”

On Thursday, ACE Music Productions, the host company in Malaysia, made an official statement saying Gary’s first concert in Malaysia had been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, via social media.

After reviewing the statement, Gary’s agency said the cancellation did not cause any monetary losses, but confused fans.

The event would have marked not just the artist’s first individual concert in the country, but also his first since announcing his plans to wed on April 5.
