Seo’s agency SeoTaiji Company said Monday the seven-member boy group was tapped as the first participant of the project “25,” in which junior artists will remake the artist’s best songs.

Seo organized the project, which marks the 25th anniversary of his debut, with the aim to musically bond with junior artists.

“Seo will choose the next artists to participate in the project and work with them in picking the songs to remake,” said an agency official.

“He will also encourage them to show their own musical colors during the project.”

BTS performed Seo’s hit “Class Idea” at the 2016 KBS Song Festival. Seo is reported to have also thought highly of the performance.

Seo, considered a legend in Korea for his innovative and unique music style, will hold his 25th anniversary concert on Sept. 2 at Jamsil Olympic Main Stadium in Seoul.
