Jennie and Jisoo of K-pop girl group Blackpink hosted an arts and crafts session in which they designed and decorated their own smartphone cases on Friday evening, broadcasting the session live on Naver’s V app.

“Hi everyone. Guess where we are?” said Jisoo as she greeted fans tuned in to the broadcast. “We are going to be making our own smartphone cases today” she said, pointing to racks of decorative materials lined up behind them.

“There are so many materials to choose from,” said Jennie, who appeared with a new curly hairstyle that surprised many fans.

The two Blackpink members decided to make cases for each other. Jennie asked Jisoo to make a case themed on the color yellow while Jisoo asked for a design that included cute characters as well as the color blue.

“It’s so much harder than it looks to choose what I want to include because we have so many choices,” said Jennie, vowing to “go for something super unique.”

Jennie and Jisoo glued on various decorative pieces to clear, plastic smartphone cases, flaunting their work to fans in the process.

Jisoo ended up making a smartphone case decorated with various yellow pieces, including baby rubber ducks and a big McDonald’s sign attached to the center of the case.

Jennie’s smartphone case was decorated with pictures of baby-blue M&Ms, cookies, croissants as well as various desserts.

Haebin and Sally of K-pop girl group Gugudan held their eighth Korean learning session via Naver’s V app on Friday night. Haebin became a personal Korean language teacher for Sally, who is Chinese.

“Let’s review the past sentences we’ve learned through some examples,” said Haebin, explaining the Korean idiom “sikeun juk meokki-ji” which would translate to “It’s a piece of "cake” in English.

The two went on to learn more about this week’s phrase “nun kkamjjak halsai-e” which means “in the blink of an eye,” and practiced its usage.

To help Sally better understand the phrase, Haebin brought out some strawberries. After Sally quickly ate all the strawberries, Haebin exclaimed “you ate these in the blink of an eye” in Korean.

The two Gugudan members also chatted about their latest appearances on local television shows as well as updates in their daily lives.

K-pop boy group B.A.P. greeted fans from Japan while filming for an on-site media interview on Friday evening, broadcasting their session live on the V app.

“Hi everyone, we’re currently taking part in an interview in Japan after having completed our concert here yesterday. B.A.P. never gets tired, so you don’t have to worry about us too much,” said Youngjae

The BAP members answered questions in fluent Japanese, and sang their songs at the request of the interviewer.

“It was so great for all five of us to have worked together to promote our latest song,” said Jongup. “It’s been so much fun for me all this time,” he said.

Daehyun and Youngjae also playfully messed around with each other, imitating scenes from movies as well as fake-calling each other in the room.
