Ji Sung was recently offered the role of a king’s father in the historical movie “Myeongdang,” according to his agency Monday.

“Ji Sung has received an offer to play the male lead role. He’s currently considering whether to accept the offer or not,” Namoo Actors said.

This could mark Ji sung’s return to the big screen after a four-year hiatus following the neo-noir film “Confession” (2014).

Meanwhile, Jo Seung-woo also received an offer to play a role in the upcoming film, but has yet to make a decision.

“Myeongdang” tells the story of the struggle among those who attempt to claim the royal throne.

Director Park Hee-gon, who directed the thriller film “Insadong Scandal” (2009), will direct “Myeongdang.”
