K-pop starlets to write, act in web drama

Seven female K-pop singers are writing the script to a web drama they will act in.

According to the producers of the program, “Idol Drama Operation Team,” Monday, singers Jeon So-mi, Red Velvet’s Seulgi, Mamamoo’s Moonbyul, Lovelyz’s Soojung, Oh My Girl’s YooA, Sonamoo’s D.ana and Kim So-hee, are co-writing the script to a drama series with an experienced scriptwriter.

The story will tell each member’s personal episode in the show business and the hardships they went through underneath the glamorous facade of being a celebrity.

Beginning with Seulgi at 10 a.m. on Monday, teaser clips featuring each participating star will come out via Naver TV cast.

“Idol Drama Operation Team” will premiere on Naver TV cast and YouTube on May 29 and later broadcast on TV through KBS Joy and KBS World channels.
