Akdong Musician impressed some 4,000 fans at its “Diary” concerts in Seoul, its agency YG Entertainment said Monday.

The duo held eight concerts between March 23 and April 2 at Mary Hall at Sogang University, Seoul.

They had originally planned to hold six shows, but added two more due to the enthusiastic response of fans. The concerts were performed under three different themes -- AKMU Diary, Chanhyuk Diary and Suhyun Diary.

“We’ve sung a lot about dreams and hopes,” Chanhyuk said. “At some point, people considered our songs as children’s songs since they sing about dreams. I wanted to make the songs about dreams as cool as hip-hop songs.”

“We wish to support your dreams,” Suhyun said.

The brother and sister duo will now head to Gwangju before heading to Daegu, Busan, Suwon and Seongnam.

Also known as AKMU, they had finished top on SBS’ singer audition program “K-pop Star 2” and signed a contract with YG Entertainment in 2013. They have put out several hit songs such as “200%” and “How People Move.”
